As Kenyans commemorate the 10th anniversary of the US embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania, the Standard newspaper is reporting that fresh arrests have been made in Garrisa in connection with one the organizers of the bombings, Msallam Saleh Mahdi. The Kenyan police intercepted a call from the couple to the wanted fugitive.

An unnamed Kenyan has been caught in a mortgage scam dragnet in the UK. The scam involves multiple shell companies that certified unqualified people for UK mortgages. The brainchild behind this particular scam is a Ghanaian, San Norre, who used a yet unnamed Kenyan to front for one of his several shell companies.

Edith Masai, 41, won the 10K Beach to Beacon race in Maine yesterday clocking in at 31:55. Masai was a late-blooming runner and it is impressive to see her still going strong at 41.
