Virgin Nigeria says it will not “do Home Office’s dirty work” by refusing to fly woman ordered to be deported back to Nigeria
Three months ago we witnessed a horrible incident in London in which fellow Africans were humiliated when they raised their voices to protest how a Nigerian immigrant was being handled as British police and immigration authorities attempted to eject him out of the UK.
That incident, although given a blackout by the major media companies of the world, became a hot issue and a thorn on the side of British Airways. An anti-British Airways website was setup and an activist boycott was also launched.
Now there is a report that Virgin Nigeria, a subsidiary of the VIrgin Group headed by billionaire Richard Branson, has refused to fly a pregnant woman who was trafficked into the UK as a sex slave. The woman, Kemi Ayinde, 24, says she fears for her life if she is deported back to Nigeria because the ring that lured her to the UK would come after her.

Virgin Nigeria only released that statement AFTER the flight had been cancelled, due to a judicial review into the case.
For the previous few days Virgin Nigeria had been telling people who complained that kemi and family were due to be forcably removed on one of their flights that they could not refuse to co-operate with the Home Office.
Hopefully Virgin Group will follow this up by refusing to take part in ANY forced deportations.
