Kenya’s Foreign Minister Moses Wetangula, met with Iran’s President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, at the 15th Foreign Ministerial Conference of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Tehran and both stressed the need for strengthening ties between the two countries.
Wetangula also said Kenya supports Iran’s peaceful nuclear initiatives.

The Chinese news agency, Xinhua, is reporting that the Uganda People’s Defense Force has killed 8 members of the Toposa ethnic group as they attempted to cross the border from Sudan into northeastern Uganda. They were part of a larger group of 30 who crossed into Uganda last week.
