Islamic banking is making headway into Africa

Flush with oil money, gulf states are eyeing the rapidly growing African economy in an effort to establish Islamic banking all over the continent.

Barclays Bank of Kenya already offers a product targeting Islamic banking customers known as La Riba (no interest).
