Joseph Njonge, the 24 year old Kenyan working as a CNA in the state of Washington, was today charged with the murder of a 75 year old woman, Jane Carol Britt, and could face up to 26 years in jail if found guilty.

I know and loved this lady. You want to tell me why this man could be out and walking around in 26 yrs??? There apears no reason for this cruel act that happen to the sweetest woman around. She suffered and had to be terrified, and he will be 50 yrs old and free. I have a problem with that. I am trying to deal with my anger over this and to someday be able to forgive. But when we let these murders go, we are asking for more trouble.
Boo freaking Hoo. You know what? People die. And you know what? just because his DNA was underneathe that ladies stupid nails doesnt mean anything. This man weighs about WHAT?! 100 lbs? MAYBE? if THAT?! Carly and I have personally known this man, this caring man for quite some time. And for someone who is as kind hearted and caring as him to KILL someone? Right. And im mother freaking theresa. Save your judgement. The only person who deserves to judge this man is God. And as far as IM CONCERNED, Ms. Lana, YOU are not our heavenly father. So take this little bitterness you have, and shove it.
AND ANOTHER THING… Doubting his loyalty to this country just because he wasnt born here? Shove that up your a** too Lana. Or anyone else who doubts him. My friends, my FAMILY are all Kenyans. And these people who came to the United States are possibly the nicest people ive ever met in my life. May whats her face rest in peace, but i know Mase aka Joseph NJONGE did NOT do this crime. And before ANYONE TAKES ANOTHER BREATH TO JUDGE THIS MAN, put yourself in his position. If you even dare to try.

I work at the nursing home where this act took place. I can say that everyone there is torn apart by this. It is sad in so many levels. It is like a double lose for all of us. We loved both parties and it is as if we have lost them both. I just want to espress that we should not judge either way. It is wrong to disrespect the dead. It is also wrong to judge a man. We should remeber the families of both and take the time to show love and respect to them …for they are both in great need. I love my Kenyan family and this is a very sad ordeal for all of us to struggle with.
This Lana person knows more than we do,i have noticed she has been the only person on blogs and media reports.I am so confused with the reports which started from Murder with a intent to steal to pre meditated murder.To me it doesnt make sense why a hardworking immigrant would want to do this and mess up their whole life.This boy needs prayers and more so he needs encouragement for him to go through this,I am sure the fact that she is dead is also really hard on him and affecting him,remember he most probably saw her on a daily basis.
As for lana i have one comment a defendant is always innocent until proven guilty, and never the other way around
This man is a dear friend of mine and my family. It is truley a sad event in both partys. The media and police dept molested this case and made into a media whore giving no fare chance of joseph the ability to tell his story. He has been truley guilty befor proven and that is sad to know our system runs that way. I have worked with this man and know him on a personal level. My friend is not a monster and spent his time caring for the elderly. There is alot more to this story being told and everyone needs to know that. My prayers go out to both family”s.
I have to agree with Carley and Laurel, Mase or Joseph couldn’t have done this, I’ve known him for three years almost four years now and I know this man is too loving of a human being to do something so horrible as this crime. The evidence do not add up and if he was guilty do you honestly believe a man would willingly give up his own DNA sample in order to prove his innocence. Come on people think for a second. If he did in fact commit this crime, he would know that his DNA would definitely show up, being a CNA–otherwise known as a “CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT”–KNOWING SOMETHING ABOUT MEDICAL.
And who are we to judge, we can’t play God, only He knows what really happen and we are not him. So for everyone who loved that woman, I do feel for you, and I do understand where you are coming from being so upset about your loss, but believe the truth will come out and then God will take his Judgement upon whoever it needs to be taken upon.
Joseph Njonge is a good man and a loving man, and he needs all the support he can get. I hope he knows that we are all out here praying for him and believing in him. WE LOVE YOU MASE.

this is very pethetic that people are judging this young fella. Am from kenya and i know him personally he is a good man. We dont come all the way to kill. We are here to workhard, go to school and help our families back home. It is upsetting when mase is still in jail when the murdere is still on the loose.
I only knew Joseph for a short time (I did not know him as Mase). My aunt lived in Garden Terrace for approximately 6 months and he helped her so much. We spoke a few times in friendly conversation about cars and things of interest and I was at the home long enough to see Joseph’s fine work. I really do not believe that he could do this crime. He is so kind, compassionate, and well thougt of. He would smile every time my aunt would walk the wrong way to her room, and gently walk over and direct her in the right direction. I find it very difficult to believe that he could commit any crime much less one this heinous.
I think we just leave everything to God and the truth will be revealed sooner than expected. Dont be so harsh on Lana cause everyone has freedom of speech. Kenyans who are near Joseph just stay together and give him moral support as for us back home we are praying for all of you cause home is always best.
I just found out that mase was a suspect…and was completely shocked… i have known him for a while and i know that he is uncapable of this..His daughter was his life and i don’t believe that he would do anything to lose her..And anyways I honestly don’t think he would be stupid enough to strangle someone knowing all the test we have now to find evidence hello…Is anyone checking out the family..and the dna under the nails for one she was 0ld coud have fallen and he caught her….think about it how many times a day do people help eachother causing us to grab someone or our hair fall on them….come on now I think that is a inlagidament reason to hold someone……and the costco card honestly if thats all that was takin i wouldn’t be suspecting him of much more than bein hungry lol….cuz that don’t mean shit do you know how many people get their identity stolen everyday are we accusing all of them of murder ummmmm NO.
